Legal

Privacy policy.

BitSettle is a self-custody, receive-only service. It watches public blockchain addresses and token transfers; it does not hold your funds, your keys, or your customers' money. We collect as little personal information as the service needs, and we do not sell it.

This policy is provided for general information and does not constitute legal advice. Bitcitizen LLC may update it from time to time, and the version published here is the one in effect.

01Introduction

This policy describes how the BitSettle service, operated by Bitcitizen LLC, handles personal information collected through the BitSettle website and the Services. Bitcitizen LLC is incorporated in Sheridan, Wyoming and operates from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Because BitSettle is receive-only and self-custody, the amount of personal information involved is intentionally limited.

02Information we collect

Information you provide

When you request early access, contact us, or open an account, you may give us your name, business name, email address, and the contents of your messages. To use the Services you configure public settlement addresses and token contracts you want us to watch. These are public blockchain identifiers, not private keys, and we never ask for your private keys or seed phrases.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website we may collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and privacy-respecting usage analytics, in order to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

03What we do not collect

We do not collect or store your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials. We do not take custody of your funds. We do not require your customers' personal information in order to detect a payment, since detection is based on public blockchain data.

04How we use your information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, and secure the Services;
  • detect and report payments to the addresses you ask us to watch;
  • respond to your inquiries and provide support;
  • send service and early-access communications you have requested;
  • improve the website and the Services; and
  • meet legal, compliance, and security obligations and prevent abuse.

05How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Services: with infrastructure and service providers acting on our behalf, with blockchain networks and node providers as an inherent part of monitoring public addresses, and where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Bitcitizen LLC, our users, or the public. Public blockchain data, including the addresses you configure and the transactions to them, is inherently public and outside our control.

06Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because settlement is self-custody, the security of your funds depends on the security of your own settlement wallet and keys, which remain solely your responsibility.

07Cookies and analytics

The website uses only the cookies needed to function and, where used, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, session recording, or device fingerprinting. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works.

08Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Inquiry and early-access records are kept while they remain useful for that purpose and are deleted when no longer needed. Account records are kept for the duration of the relationship and a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and compliance obligations.

09International transfers

Bitcitizen LLC is based in the United States and operates from Argentina, and our service providers may be located in other countries. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data-protection law.

10Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

11Children's privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12Third-party links

The website may link to third-party sites and services, including blockchain explorers and open-source projects. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
